Block #3

Sorry for the delay. I've been having a number of computer problems. Here is the picture for the third square - On Moday he ate through one apple. Yes, the next square is red and has the same fun caterpillar. I will have the pattern up tomorrow after my son's recital. Actually I forgot my USB drive at work so it will have to be Monday evening, sorry for the delay, again.

Hi there here are the instructions for the second block. I have instructions for stitches that are not knit or purl. If you think there is a better way for me to phrase the instructions please let me know.

Block # 2

Hi there,
Its time for block # 2 One Suday morning the warm sun came up and - pop! - out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry caterpillar. I've used three different yarns for this block. I like the varigated. I wasn't sure the detail would show up but I like it. I also tried to get a few close ups of the caterpillar but I don't think they worked all that well so I'll try again when I upload the pattern in 2 days.

Materials used:
Cotton worsted weight, one white oval bead (with a whole large enough for your yarn to fit through), 5mm needles

I am going to cronicle my progress on my new idea, the story blanket. I love the story of the Very Hungry Caterpillar and as a teacher I wanted to use a different a different medium to garner interest in reading. This thought popped in my mind one day. Off I went to the computer to plan. Next week will see the first pattern here. Check it out.
